Senior Project Engineer Offshore Cables

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer Offshore Cables to play a key role in the engineering and execution of offshore HVAC cable systems within a large-scale energy infrastructure programme.
Your impact
As part of the Cable Team, you will contribute to the preparation and execution of offshore cable installations within a complex EPCI environment. This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement in a highly collaborative setting.
You will work in a multidisciplinary project environment and actively support the successful delivery of critical offshore infrastructure.
What will you do?
- Support the engineering and implementation of offshore HVAC cable systems
- Prepare installation activities in close collaboration with contractors and technical experts
- Follow up on specific scopes of work and review technical documentation, including comment sheets
- Monitor progress, quality, and technical compliance within your area of responsibility
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external project partners
- Support the follow-up of offshore execution activities together with offshore representatives
- Identify opportunities to optimise delivery and create added value for the project
Your expertise
You bring strong technical experience within offshore cable projects and are comfortable working in demanding offshore construction environments.
You have hands-on experience with:
- Offshore cable lay and burial operations
- Landfall and beach cable pull-ins
- Cable pull-ins on offshore structures
- Preparatory works such as PLGR, boulder clearance, and OOS removal
- Pre-sweeping and dredging activities
- Offshore construction works, vessel operations, and ROV operations
- Cable installation analysis, pull-in analysis, and weather limitations
In addition, you have:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in the offshore cable industry
- A Master's degree in Engineering
- Strong understanding of survey techniques, GIS software, and route engineering
- The ability to independently review and challenge technical documentation
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international project environment
Languages
- Fluent in English
- Dutch and/or French are considered strong assets
Practical information
- Start date: Mid-August 2026
- Duration: Fixed contract with Long term perspective, yearly renewed client contracts expected
- Location: Belgium
- Work schedule: Full-time
- Hybrid setup: Average of 2–3 days per week on-site or at the main office
- Regular site visits to the Belgian coast and occasional short international business trips may be required
- Candidates should reside in Belgium
